Loh Mai Kai & Siew Pao

Linda & I found the recipes of making Loh Mai Kai & Siew Bao (烧包) online and decided to give it a try last Friday.

We made everything from scratch. That includes the Char Siew found in both the Loh Mai Kai & fillings of the Siew Pao. :)

Never mind that we didnt seal the top of the Siew Paos properly and many of them opened up after baking.... :p

Both the Loh Mai Kai & Siew Pao were delicious!

And there were positive remarks from our husbands and friends who tried them.. keke!

But I suspect even if it tastes horrendous, they also cant bear to hurt our feelings. :p


P.S : The picture of the Loh Mai Kai is blur coz it was steaming hot!
