On Sunday, we went to Cannon Beach. Bad timing. The weather was gloomy and we couldnt get to do the beach activities we had all planned. Beach volleyball, sun tanning, swimming etc. Such a pity...
Nevertheless, we enjoyed walking barefooted on the soft sand and dipping our feet in the cold icy water of the Pacific Ocean. We also caught sight of a baby seal who was left on the beach while its mother were out hunting... Initially we thought it was washed ashore and dead but there were 2 staff around, educating beachgoers that it's still alive and to observe from a safe distance.
We then had a late lunch at this place called Cranky Sue's that serves great tasting crab cakes and seafood. Afterwhich we went shopping around the area for awhile before we made our way back to the vacation house..
Played 2 rounds of boardgames and when the sun came out, a few of us happily walked to the beach so that we could enjoy playing with the sand. Dear was happily digging the sand to form a mini trench to collect water when the water waves come in and out.
Just like a little boy let loose on the beach. :p
